The Cimple.NET Centralized Database gives a school district the ability
to collect data from all of the systems in use by the district (including the Student Information
System (demographics, attendance, grades, teacher gradebook, schedules, discipline, etc.), Transportation
System, Library System, Cafeteria System, Special Education System, etc.). Data can
also be imported into the Centralized Database from outside sources such as testing companies. In addition,
the district can use the Centralized Database to maintain additional information on students that may not be
stored in any of the systems that they currently use (e.g. additional information required for each student by
the State Department of Education). By having all of the data in one Centralized Database, the school district
is in a much better position to perform analysis, error checking, and reporting on their student data, both
internally and to the State Department of Education. If desired, the Centralized Database can be used to
facilitate the sharing of information across multiple systems through the use of Intelligent Agents,
eliminating the need to maintain the same data in multiple systems.
- Centralized Historical Database - collects information from all systems and maintains
information over multiple school years
- Web-Based User Interface - allows users to add/edit data in the Centralized Database, including
data that may not be stored in any system in the district
- Mass Data Entry / Data Fill - allows users to mass enter or modify data
- Data Imports - allows users to import data from any data source, including any system in the
district as well as data from outside sources such as testing companies
- Data Reports - customizable reporting capabilities allows users to create reports that contain
data from any system in use in the district and perform analysis of data at a district level
- Data Exports - allows users to export any data maintained in the Centralized Database, including
state exports for data warehousing and testing purposes
- Ad-Hoc Query Capability - allows users to create data queries on the fly that contain data
from any system in use in the district
- Program Services - allows users to record program service information for state reporting
- System Interoperability - systems within the district can be integrated in real-time through the
use of Intelligent Agents, eliminating the need to maintain the same data in multiple systems
