The mission is to get the data needed by everyone to
effectively change the way children are educated in preK-12 public schools in America.
Schools have the need, parents want to know, and corporations can help, but everyone
involved needs the data so that no child is left behind. Put simply, first
we need to get the data, second we need to share the data, and third
we need to use the data to help each and every child succeed.
We pledge to:
- design systems in the tradition of the company's name that are "simple to
learn and easy to use
- build systems only after we understand their specific needs and we can deliver
what they want
- commit ourselves to their success by caring and by taking pride in what we do
at all times
- offer an all-inclusive fee for services with no hidden costs
- provide no-cost upgrades and new releases with multiple year agreements
- establish long-term relationships built upon trust and confidence in what we
say and what we do
- remember what we do matters because the systems we provide to help schools and
parents get the information they need, can ultimately make a difference in
a child's life.
According to PricewaterhouseCooper Technology Forecast
2002-2004, companies are in the midst of transition from packaged software to
component-based software. The Model Driven Architecture developed by Cimple allows
it to create applications for the specific school's needs. Using "plug-in"
and "add-on" components, Cimple builds personalized systems similar to the
way GM and Dell build cars and computers. Cimple's products are created with
Microsoft Development Visual Studio .NET.
As suggested by the Gartner Group's Report, February 2002
"TCO in Education: The Time is Right," schools are now looking at the total
cost of ownership to run these competitive systems.
Other companies sell one-site fits all off-the-shelf mass produced canned
packages or do-it-yourself erector sets that claim you can do anything. In addition,
these systems were designed for technical people to setup and use - not the school's
staff. Unfortunately, schools don't have the staff, don't have the time, don't have
the expertise, and don't have the money to hire new staff.
